NC(V): Electrical Infrastructure Construction (L2 - L4)

This course is ideal if one would like to become an electrical artisan. The course enables the student to work with heavy electrical currents (for electricity and domestic wiring, industrial and civil industries) and light electrical currents (such as used for required for digital - and industrial electronics).

Admission Requirements

For admission into NC(V) programmes students must pass an NQF level 1 qualification in one of the following ways:

  • Grade 9
  • AET Level 4
  • General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)
  • the use of RPL assessment programme to determine equivalence to NQF Level 1, and
  • PLP results

In order to ensure success and completion of the programmes, the College has, in terms of this policy, and in line with A Guideline for Additional Admission Requirements to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College Programmes made provision for Programme-specific additional requirements as stipulated in the table below:

Duration

  • This qualification takes three years to complete.
  • Each of the levels 2, 3 and 4 will take one-year full time.
  • Every level of study carries 130 credits.
